Di Wang

Lately I have been exploring new styles to edit photos and it has been so interesting to create new variations and moods for bouth new and old pictures.

Still after two years I find myself getting back to these photos of Di Wang I took in Japan, and now I decided to give them an another run.

While seeing all the snowy and winterly pictures from Finland, I wanted to give the photos a bit stromy yet cool vibe. What do you think?

Down by the river

I'm continuing the serie of shooting my new friends in traditional costumes from Papua New Guinea in exotic places I've found here in Bali. The previous photos of these savages can be found here and here. Slowly I'll continue this serie and who know where it will lead me.

I'm feeling a littlebit insecure without my smoke mashine and flashes but it is time to learn how to work with natural light. Can't wait to find the next location and look for the next photos.

Julia

It has been 3 years since I last time took pictures of my friend Julia. How the time flies! Few more photoshoots and then off to Bali again. Exciting!

Vintage

It has been a while since I last took photos on location. My aunt's ateljé with Gea's vintage clothing were such an inspiring combo to shoot now when I'm slowly putting my portfolio together.

It's finally done! Last Thursday I had my final presentation and basically I'm done with my school. On above there is a virtual replica of the book I made about my final project in Bali. Unfortunately it is only in Finnish, but there is an abstract in English and many many pictures.

My original plan was to share the process here on real time, but since the actual doing took so much time and energy, in the end I only made few posts from Bali. Now after the presentation there is again time to breath and share the work - better late than never :)

Jungle book

Some days back I found this rustic abandoned hotel and every since first laying my eyes on it I wanted to take some photos there. Today we went there with my friend Dijay, but a bit too late since we kind of ran out of light. We managed to get some pictures with traditional Balinese clothing but maybe some day soon we have to give this place a revisit, with a tripod.
