Long time no hear
It has been a while! I can't keep up how fast the days and weeks just passes by! It is already July and that is horrible! Here I still have school until the beginning of August (meanwhile people back in Finland already lives their summer vacations) and this is the busy time when you realize that you actually have to do something for all the classes your taking. I haven't really told about my school stuff from this semester but that I will do later, since maybe you have already seen the pictures above this text waiting to be introduced.
Well well for long time I have wanted to take photos of my two friends Oteki and Kazuya. Some weeks ago we finally found a day that fits for all of us and headed to the studio of our school. Even though I usually let the ladies go first, the pictures of Oteki with wind in her hair I'll keep to my self just a bit longer and start with photos of Kazuya.

Building the kitchen

This was the scene when I first came here. |

The raw bodies of the kitchen cabinets. |

Building the island. |

All the building and finishing is made at the location. |

Painting the first layers. |

Black granite installed. Holes for the sink and stove. |

And yesterday makin space for the cooking hood. |
This is what we are doing now. At the same time we have been doing the sinktables too but those I will show later on. Almost everything is made here at the house and there is always different people coming to work depending if we need to work with wood, stone, electricity ect.
The design of the kitchen is mainly done by the contractor before I came here but luckily I saw the plan before it was made. For example the space between the two surfaces was only 80cm but now it is 120cm. Also the places for the handles were odd ect...
Everything is happening quite slowly but I hope to do as much as I can before I must leave this wonderful place.

What's up?
Hello! I've been silent for a while because of all the madness around school. I'm designing and doing a wooden chair, designing a passive / zero energy house with my classmates, finishing an office for one teacher, making my portfolio and visiting cards (well the portfolio is finally ready! I'll share it later...) and on top of all this I'm filling all the papers and forms to apply as an exchange student to Kyoto! Super exited and scared at the same time.
But what's up with the apartment? Not much I'm afraid :)
To the toilet I hanged up some Shohei Otomos works and one samurai photo from Vogue Hommes Japan.
I also bought a small goat fur to the living room. Still stuck to the black and while color palette :)
