Time flies

I can't believe it has already been three weeks since I came here! I moved from the hotel to my friend's house for a while since the hotel is fully booked. We are planning to continue making this house like a proper home but so far the hotel has taken all our time.

I've been making plans for the next rooms to be renovated and with Bagus we have already decided the characters and the atmospheres we are looking for. Now we just have to get the new parking and laundry area ready as soon as possible so we can start renovating the rooms.

When I haven't been working I have been going to the gym and looking for models and locations for my photoserie. Yesterday I had the first photoshoot and I can't wait to get the photos done! I'm still inspired by the shell jewellery from Papua New Guinea so I'm continuing the serie I already started here last time with Cinta and brothers Dijay and Ary. I'll show more about that later.

End of an Era

I started this blog when I moved into my first own aparment - and now it's time to move out.

Four years went by so fast but looking back it has been great! It was kind of sad to take down all the elements that made the place feel like home, but on the other hand I can't wait to see what will happen next.

After coming back from Japan I changed few things in order to get a new atmosphere.

Even though this blog became to life through this apartment, I will keep on posting under the same name untill I come up with something new!

Back in Lahti

Back in my old place. While staying in Japan I had some friends living in this flat and this way I was able to return here. Although I really like this room, I wanted to change it a bit and painted the bed area gray. Also the "photo cloud" is now filled with some prints of photos I took in Japan.

I'm still missing my tv and some other things but slowly the place is starting to feel like home again.

The end of an era

Two years has passed by so fast! I first started this blog when I got my place in Lahti at started my studies in Lahti institute of design. Operation apartment was about me building my first home - but now it's empty again. I will go back there after one year, but before that there is an internship in Bali and an exchange year in Japan.

So all my posessions are in cardboard boxes at my parents house and after one week I'll fly to Bali to start my next "operation apartment" as an interior designer for our friends new house. I'm sure it will be great two and half months there and of course I will continue this blog to tell and show how things are going. Exciting!

Curtains in my parents house

In Espoo in my parents house there are some hand sewed curtains I would like to show to you. Some years ago we did big two sided curtains (2,75 m) between the kitchen/dining and our livingroom by using diffenet colours of raw silk, cotton and some other fabricks.. Now few weeks ago we did again with my mom new two side curtains to the tv room that used to be my room. In the tv room we also made new window curtains and recovered the footstools with old pillow covers and same fabrics used for the other stuff.
